These terms govern your use of the Casalign app and the casalign.com website. By creating an account or using Casalign, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Casalign. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.

The short version: Casalign is a tool to help you stay organized. You are responsible for the content you add and the people you invite, and you should double-check anything important, such as due dates and amounts.

1. Who we are

Casalign is operated by Dan Sela, an individual developer (“Casalign”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@casalign.com.

2. Who can use Casalign

Casalign is for adults aged 18 and over. A teen may use Casalign only by invitation from an adult in a space, with limited permissions. The minimum age is 14. Where local law requires a parent's consent, the adult who invites the teen gives that consent, accepts these terms on the teen's behalf, and confirms that they are the teen's parent or legal guardian or are otherwise authorized to do so. The adult is responsible for supervising the teen's use. You must have the legal capacity to agree to these terms, and your use must be lawful where you live.

3. Your account

Give us accurate information, keep your password and your phone secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Each account belongs to one person and should not be shared. The date of birth you enter at sign-up cannot be changed afterwards, so enter it carefully.

4. Spaces, sharing and roles

Your account belongs to a space, such as a household, a single-parent space, or a co-parenting space. Each item in a space is visible to the people it is shared with, according to their role (Owner, Adult, Teen, View only). The Owner can change roles and remove people. If you are removed, items you added that only you could see are deleted, and what you shared stays with the space. When you invite someone, you decide what they can see, so invite only people you trust. The list of members, including names, contact details, birthdays and children's details you enter, is visible to everyone in the space.

In a co-parenting space, some settings require both parents to agree. Records you share, and agreements both parents confirm, are visible to the other parent.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to Casalign. You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit it as needed to run the app for you and the people you share it with, and to do what the Privacy Policy describes. You confirm that you have the right to add it, including information about other people such as your children. Do not add content that is unlawful or that infringes anyone's rights.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with it, or try to access data that is not yours.
Do not use the app to harass, monitor, or harm anyone, or to impersonate another person.
Do not try to bypass age, role or sharing restrictions, including by giving a false date of birth.
Do not copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app except as the law allows.

7. Connected services and AI

If you connect a Gmail or Outlook inbox or a phone calendar, you allow Casalign to access it as described in the Privacy Policy, and you remain subject to that provider's terms. You can disconnect at any time.

Some features use artificial intelligence, for example “Read a message”, which suggests tasks, events and payments from text you provide. AI can make mistakes. Review each suggestion before you add it, and do not paste information you do not want processed. Casalign reads documents and receipts with automated tools that can also make mistakes, so check the details.

8. Reminders and information are aids, not guarantees

Casalign's reminders are scheduled on your phone and depend on your phone's settings, battery and permissions. They may be delayed or missed. Do not rely on Casalign alone for payment deadlines, document expiry dates, appointments or handovers, and check the original source for important dates and amounts. Exchange-rate conversions are estimates.

Casalign is not a bank, a financial, tax, legal or medical adviser, and it does not move money. The co-parenting features, including schedules, expense splits, settle-ups and ledgers, are record-keeping tools. They are not legal advice and do not replace a court order or a written agreement between you and the other parent.

9. Free service and future paid features

Casalign is currently free. We may add paid features in the future. If we do, we will show the price and terms before you buy, and nothing will be charged without your agreement. The app is under active development and may change, and features may be added, changed or removed.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Casalign and delete your account at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if needed to protect others or the service, or if we must by law. What happens to your data when an account ends is described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Casalign is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Please keep copies of anything important.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as late fees, missed deadlines or lost data, arising from your use of Casalign, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Casalign in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to a nominal amount. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and disputes will be handled in the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Casalign after a change means you accept it.
